Three months before my wedding, I unexpectedly found myself in a hospital waiting room. Why was I there you may be asking?
You see, my fiánce’s “innocent ongoing fever” had unexpectedly led to lung surgery. In these moments, my mind kept going back and forth between his health and the seating arrangements for our wedding. What happened next changed me forever.
The surgeon came out and he very bluntly stated, “I have good news and bad news: the surgery went well, but we found cancer in his lung, I’m sorry”and then he just walked away. At that moment my heart sank. I felt like the waiting room was spinning around me, I kept telling myself repeatedly “No, no, no, no... not Reggie... not the man I am about to marry” My world was shattered. In life when tragedy hits you in the gut, you forget all about the flowers, the cake, the seating arrangement... the one important thing becomes incredibly clear; All I wanted was for this man that I adore to LIVE, and the opportunity to love him, to kiss him, and to become the mother of his children.
I strongly believe that you can so easily lose that simple perspective of the reason you are saying “yes”, when planning a wedding.
Don’t get me wrong; the lights, the flowers, and beautiful décor will always make a beautiful wedding, but nothing will ENHANCE it more than the LOVE between two souls. There is nothing more rewarding to me than being able to capture that love and for each couple to be able to relive that moment over and over. From personal experience, I truly believe that when things get rough in the future, these photos will always serve as a reminder of the LOVE that started it all. To conclude my story for now, I am blessed to say that my husband is well, healthy and most importantly ALIVE. I will forever be grateful for that.
I told you this story, so you can know why I do what I do, I do it because I believe in LOVE. I believe in two couples coming together and committing the rest of their lives with each other. So with that my friend, it would be an honor to capture yours.
Wedding photography is a lot of things, but it primarily is an investment. After the dress is hung, the flowers are dried, the cake has been eaten and the guests have left, you want to be certain that you will never forget that night... the night that your life changed forever.
"I can’t say enough how WONDERFUL our experience was with Cindy! From the first email correspondence to our wedding day and the delivery of our photos, the entire experience was beyond amazing. Cindy puts her heart and soul into her work, and you can definitely see this translate into her art and photography. She really took the time to get to know my husband and I and beautifully create a plan based on our story. She worked SO hard the day of our engagement shoot and wedding. She has great vision and creativity, which I appreciate very much. And the end result were beyond beautiful pictures that we will forever cherish. Til this day, we get so many compliments on our photos! I can’t say enough how much we loved working with Cindy and would hands-down recommend her to everyone who needs an awesome photographer for their special day!"
"From the moment my husband and I met Cindy, we knew she was the one! Aside from her PHENOMENAL work as the most professional photographer....Cindy’s sweet personality, genuineness, patience, and passion for capturing beautiful moments in photos provided us with the most unique and intimate experience! She’s even great with pets! Our golden retriever was in our engagement photos! Cindy was such a great support to us during our wedding process! She went above and beyond! From the beginning as a newly engaged couple, she shared tips and tricks on wedding planning! Even up until our wedding day, she went out of her way to help with small little details to ensure a smooth day! My bridal party and wedding guests absolutely LOVED her and how she handled our photography! Hiring Cindy as your photographer will be the BEST decision you’ll ever make! Our engagement and wedding photos are our forever keepsakes and we have Cindy to thank for them."
"I can’t express how amazing this woman is. My husband and I had a small wedding with family only and had to plan it in just 2 weeks. When she showed up that morning I had no clue what I was doing or what to expect and she asked if I had a plan, I told her no and she immediately took control.
It went outside of her job as a photographer and she quickly and efficiently had everyone in their places and captured the most beautiful photos of this priceless moment. I couldn’t ask for a better person to do this. She made it personal and for any couple getting married that is a quality that’s hard to find! I will refer her again and again."
"Honestly my husband and I couldn’t be more blessed to have had Cindy as our wedding photographer! She also got to shoot our engagement pictures. Cindy is truly such a sweet, and lovely girl. She made us feel so comfortable, she was so patient in every way. Every chance I get, I recommend her to everyone I know family members, friends, literary everyone! Cindy truly captures LOVE.
As for my husband and I, we are expecting our first baby and as we get closer to the end of this pregnancy there’s no one else we would trust, but Cindy to capture the end of our amazing pregnancy journey. We just love her and the pictures she captures are beyond beautiful."
"Cindy was more than we could have hoped for in a wedding photographer. She is a complete professional, yet down to earth and a great listener. Even when it rained on our wedding day, Cindy did everything she could to make us feel at ease and continue to get great shots.
Thank you Cindy for making our wedding day so memorable!"
